Challenge 1 :
Improving interaction in the "Onboarding" and "For You" feed
How to Easily find things to do according to user interests and values?
Through user testing, I defined the problem that people find it difficult to understand what they are looking for in the app, and how they can find relevant events and activities after they register.
In previous iteration of the app events and activities were bundled together and many users dropped off scrolling down the app feed before finding the relevant content at the bottom
My role:
I led the design journey for product team, partnering with Product Maneger, Content Team, Community team and Development team.
Responsibilities:
Research, competitor analysis, defining design trends, patterns, new capabilities, etc, Revenu models, business models.
Building products across native mobile and web platforms, Design wireframes, flowcharts, visual mock-ups, and prototypes realized new features like inbox, messenger, group chats, Improved Onboarding, Improving Search, User testing.
Goals:
Improving interaction in the "Onboarding"
Quick Browse
Structure content in a way that encourages interaction, easy skimming, and an accessible way to find relevant content.
Organized search
Enable users to effortlessly find and interact with the events and activities.
Personalized approach
Empower the user to take control of their search for the relevant experiences and events that are aligned with their interests and values. Create search results that are filtered based on User location.

Solution:
Before making the ‘what’, we need to know the ‘why’
Redesigning the onboarding experience.
How can I effectively gather users preferences to create a more personalized experience?
Make the onboarding process quick, easy, and user-friendly. So that more people can sign up and find relevant experiences, events and connect with other users
Before making the ‘what’, we need to know the ‘why’.
Allow Login Via External Account: Providing users with the option of registering through social media accounts, like Google, Facebook, Twitter or Pinterest, registration can be turned into a two-click process.
Problem statement
In the previous version of the app 50% of the users were dropping off during onboarding process.
Users are lost either interest because they don’t see any value in the product, or do not understand its function. Such a user would soon be lost and find alternatives.
Mobile user is also distracted- which means they are bound to forget their password. Can you even say that you remember all your passwords?
The product doesn't have alternative options for registrations.
Allow Login Via External Account
The registration process can be simplified, by offering a faster alternative – external accounts. By providing users with the option of registering through social media accounts, like Google, Facebook, Twitter or Pinterest, Apple ID.
Social Login allows customers to bring their existing social identities and use them to register and log in without creating a new profile explicitly.

Challenge 2:
How to Easily find things to do according to user interests and values?
How to designed the search for events and activities were more straightforward and accessible for the user, the result would have an ideal match with user interests and values
How to designed the search for events and activities were more straightforward and accessible for the user, the result would have an ideal match with user interests and values

Complexity
Define the criteria by which you can create quick filters to search for events and activities. Which includes a quick time filter for events and a quick filter according to user interests and values.
Make quick and interactive access to relevant search results that reflect a personalized approach. Easy navigation and interaction with content.
Impact:
34%
Active users amount grow in the next 2M
30%
Daily Active Users (plan 15-30%)
10% -> 50%
50% increase in app interaction time
50% -> 80%
Pass through onboarding successfully
Learnings:
Solid visual design helps to acquire new users / Best UI among competitors (users’ opinion)
Importance of engaging everyone who works on the project because that would impact their dedication in positive way.
We were constantly tracking data and interviewing users to see which experiments were successful, and result increase all interactions metrics
